Year-round classes, workshops, and art camps for pre-school (ages 2-5), after-school (ages 5-teen), and adults. Curriculum for children is developmentally designed for specific age groups. Summer art camps for elementary school age children are held throughout the entire summer, both in the morning and afternoon, usually focused around a theme.
Adult and teen clay classes are available days, evenings and weekends.
Art Station is housed in a historical building – the 1911 Bend Train Depot. A unique cultural inheritance, Art Station was moved and renovated by a medley of partners: Arts Central, the Old Mill District, and Oregon Dept. of Transportation. It now resides in the Old Mill District, across from the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Clay Studio
Fully equipped clay studio includes: gas and electric kilns, slab roller, electric wheels, and glazes. Children’s clay classes are also available (pre-school, after-school, summer camps). We also offer adult and teen clay classes (day, evenings, and weekends in hand-building, wheel, raku, mosaics).
Multi-Media Studio
"Multi-media" in this sense means many visual arts media, primarily painting, drawing, and mixed media. Specialty classes include jewelry, basketry, papermaking, and various other offerings. Studio has easels, flat files for a variety of papers, and a large supply of art materials.
