About the Artist
 

Kyla teaches 3 different mediums of art, Drawing, Painting and Ceramics. In each of her lessons she strives to have a blend of art history, art theory and art technique. With every project she wants her students to understand how history effected art. I also want them to understand the design process and how art elements combine to make a successful piece. Finally I want them to understand how to use a variety of media successfully to create the effect they are trying to achieve.

Credentials:

Kyla earned her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts with a K-12 certification from Gonzaga University and holds teaching certifications in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Kyla has been teaching in schools throughout Idaho, Washington and Oregon for the last seven years.
