Derek Sitter

About the Artist
Derek has spent the last 25 years working professional as an actor in film, television, and theater. His residencies encourage creativity, imagination and self-expression through the art and craft of theater and acting.Through listening, observation, theater, and improvisational games, students will experience how to express themselves with their voice and movement in a safe environment. He is a life-member of the well-known the Actors Studio. Credentials:

Derek earned his Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern State University and his Master of Fine Arts in Theater and Acting from Louisiana State University.  Derek began teaching at the college level while working on his graduate degree and has continued to teach all levels. Having coached and instructed for twelve years in Los Angeles, he has most recently taught K-8 at Sisters Charter Academy of Fine Arts, through COCC Community Learning and at his own studio, The Actors Realm.
